Located on Peachtree Road, the main corridor of the city of Atlanta, Georgia, Restaurant Eugene defines Atlanta cuisine. Chef/Owner Linton Hopkins is an Atlanta native who grew up in and currently lives in a neighborhood that is within walking distance to where the restaurant sits—to say that he is tied to, and personally vested in this city is an understatement. His formal culinary training in New York and experience working in fine restaurants in New Orleans and Washington, D.C. have equipped the chef with the technique and background that allow him to execute sophisticated, classic cuisine. The food, in concert with a thoughtful and rotund wine list, put together by the restaurant’s co-owner and sommelier Gina Hopkins, truly creates a “fine dining” experience, yet beyond the talent there is a spirit about Restaurant Eugene that makes the restaurant completely comfortable. The result is a rare combination of the sophistication appropriate for a “destination” restaurant and the friendliness of a neighborhood favorite.
